Written in the Stars

Wet paws padded across the territory with a juicy furry vole in her mouth bringing it to the freshkill pile for her clan. Frostbite didn't mind the water at all really she loved to swim and not a lot of cats knew that. Taking her time she finally hit the opening of her camp and stopped. She dropped the vole and looked into the clan that was just finishing up drying out. There were a few big puddles here and there in the camp but you were able to see the camp and the dens. Some dens were still a little flooded but others dried out. Her medicine cat den had some water in it but not enough to ruin her herbs she had found to replenish what she lost. 

Frostbite couldn't bring herself to enter the camp..at least not yet. Every time she left and came back it gave her memories...memories that were hard to push aside in her mind. She lost lives that day..lives she was unable to save. Yet she blamed herself a little bit for leaving as well. If she had just stayed...yet even when she did leave the camp a wave of peace would over come her because she wouldnt have to think about that day she lost the clan and her home.

Taking a seat at the opening of the camp the vole sat next to her. The sun was rising over the trees and the clan was going to stir. Frostbite? She has been stirring since before anyone else was up in the camp. Green eyes scanned her home and still she couldnt bring herself to enter. Eyes growing heavy she finally closed them and just sat and listened to the forest...to her home being alive.
