Descriptive Appearance: Dustytuft is not the most intimidating of cats. She has always been on the smaller side of her clanmates. Thanks to some slightly odd defects, there were plenty of jokes made that she should have been named for a mouse or some equally small, tenacious rodent - her ears, from birth, have come to soft fluted curves rather than the sharp points of many others of her kin. Her tail is also cropped short; not bobbed or missing entirely, but simply giving the appearance that it was chopped in half at a young age.

Her stocky body is covered in medium-length brown fur, deceptively short compared to the bulk of some of her clan, but decidedly warm thanks to an underpelt that comes in crunch during the colder months; different shades of brown - from tan on her belly to a dark-black-brown on her back - overlapping and lending credence to the first part of her name; like a kit, whose rolled in dried mud, but somehow came out of the whole ordeal with a somewhat fluffy, static look. It makes her look rounder than most as well - not helped by the fact that she really does enjoy filling her belly, and for such a small cat can really pack on the pounds. The soft 'tufts' of fur, particularly framing her odd ears, gave her the second aspect of her name.

Her eyes are framed in white, causing the dark golden color to pop despite her darker coat color. Usually alight with good humor, she can have a rather intense glare if the mood strikes her.

Brief Personality: Humorous, Pushy, Jokester, Laconic

Descriptive personality: Dustytuft is one of those older cats who never seems to have grown up. It doesn't help that she never truly lost her kit-weight - or a penchant for spending much to much time sleeping in the sun when not given a direct task. She is a clan cat born who, while fiercely loyal to the friends she has made around her, will not go out of her way to start anything. She will not pick fights with other clans, as honestly she doesn't want to be bothered finishing them unless absolutely necessary.

She has a real gift for teaching and storytelling - although many a Queen has been known to chase her out of their nursery and away from the more impressionable minds thanks to her telling them rather fanciful tales of six-foot-tall badgers and demon foxes from the Place of No Stars. She tells them all in good fun; and really, could be considered a sort of maiden auntie of Dawnclan. She's never had a litter of her own; likely due to what happened with the heart ache of her own mother, and due to the fact that smaller she-cats don't have the easiest of times with wild-born litters.

In all, she's a bit of a bad influence on the younger members of the clan; encouraging them to push boundaries, tell tales out of school; and occasionally making wry remarks about staging a 'all-apprentice battle club' with some of her other clanmates. No delicate flower; she tends to speak her mind no matter the consequences around those she sees as her family.

Descriptive History: Giving birth to kits is a rather risky business, but luckily Dustytuft and her brother were born in a Newleaf when plenty of new mothers could be found. Their mother; the unfortunate Mousechaser, passed shortly after giving birth to them, leaving their father, Yellowsun, devastated. But the two kits were able to be raised by their great-aunt, who had one kit of her own. Dustykit and her brother Pollenkit were named by their father, but they never really saw a difference between them and their adopted brother Finkit until they were old enough to be told stories of their mother.

As it was, Dustykit grew up more roughhousing with the boys than she did primping and playing with the girls. Although she would share tongues like the others, she never really shared any romantic interests with anyone. She grew through her apprenticeship and into her adult warriorhood with very little fanfare, and has been a rather hard-headed member of the clan that raised her, never really caring or knowing about family boundaries thanks to her upbringing.
