crowdance grinned as he walked back into camp after having participated in the morning patrol, feeling much more energetic than he had recently thanks to puddlewish helping him rebuild his nest. he hadn't realised how uncomfortable his old one had been until then. speaking of puddlewish... there she was!

the dark-furred tabby began to pick up speed when he saw the other warrior just leaving the warriors' den.

"sleep in late?" crowdance asked rhetorically with a laugh, butting her shoulder affectionately with his head. "you missed the morning patrol, we just got back," he explained, assuming the brown warrior would have been a little confused waking up to an empty den.

"anyway," he started, "wanna go for a hunt? you probably should seeing as you've been so lazy," crowdance teased, beginning to walk back to the clan exit without waiting for puddlewish to reply.

a grin spread across crowdance's face when puddlewish greeted him with a brush to the side and lick to the forehead, mimicking her actions before beginning to speak, "i slept well thanks to you helping me with my nest," he purred lightly, "thank you," he thanked once more, deciding to sit down for a second as he watched the brown tabby stretch.

"you should be sorry," he raised a brow, mouth forming a smirk as he half joked. of course, he wasn't truly mad that the other warrior had slept in, but he did find it a little unprofessional that she would leave her warrior duties to be completed by others. perhaps that was just the perfectionist work-aholic in him talking though.

"southern bridge is probably going to be the best place to find something," he began, a thoughtful look on his face, it was finally leaf-fall and prey was nowhere near as abundant as it had been in green-leaf as was to be expected, but typically it wasn't too hard to hunt near the oakclan border as the ground was much more solid.

yet, crowdance's thoughts were quickly interrupted by puddlewish's next offer, a smirk spreading across his face as he closed his eyes lightly to reply, "we could do that," he said with a playful tone, nudging her with his head, "you better hurry up though, i have important duties to tend to."

purring at puddlewish's reply, crowdance turned and made his way towards the exit of the camp, mentally noting the quickest way to get to their location so that they could spend as much time together as possible before he had to leave again to check the borders. yet, his ears pricked when the other warrior began to nudge him with her nose, beckoning for him to speed up, "be patient," he spoke with a stern voice, although there was still a smile on his face as he began to speed up his steps anyway, laughing quietly at the excitement in her voice.

however, his laughter slowly stopped as the two walked in a comfortable silence, approaching the southern bridge. he was rather enjoying their walk- it wasn't often that he left camp with the intention of socialising- he mainly did so to either hunt or train or patrol the borders, but this change was nice and something that he made a mental note to do more often. but, the silence didn't last long as it was broken by puddlewish's slightly anxious voice.

"sure," crowdance replied with a smile, "what is it?"
