One line Description:: Small, dark russet tabby with a black tail and dark almond eyes.

Descriptive Appearance:: Sappaw is an unusually petite cat for her age, sporting a thin pelt of dark russet spotted tabby fur. Her pattern is a fair bit darker in hue, closer to black, and also colors her slim tail. With narrow paws, she has a light gait to match her build and short, boxy whiskers. Her almond-shaped eyes are dark brown and glossy, and usually a bit on the sharper side.

Typically she smells of loamy earth, though she occasionally may carry the scent of aster and wild garlic depending on her mood.

Brief Personality:: Clever, Earnest, Competitive, Clinical, Bashful

Descriptive Personality:: Curious and capable as a young cat despite her size, Sappaw is a hawk-eyed cat who prides herself on her wits. She’s learned that brains can beat out brawn if properly applied, so she heavily relies on her cleverness to keep up. It helps that Sappaw has a passion for learning and works very earnestly to improve. Who says you can’t work both smarter and harder?

While she’d never admit it herself, many have seen her to be just as competitive as any other apprentice- perhaps even more so as a means to validate herself as a runt. While smart enough to know when to avoid fighting a pointless battle, she’s not opposed to butting heads over arguments she believes she’s correct in. Sappaw can’t stand to be wrong, to be ignorant and vulnerable, thus she interacts with her world in a very clinical respect; she approaches situations coldly and analytically while keeping a tail’s length away, and often hyper-fixates on figuring out a tactic for every occasion. This is because Sappaw truly is a bashful individual who does not handle being embarrassed well. She flusters easily and is quick to lose her level head when worked up, making her dark eyes blaze with emotion.

Descriptive History: Sappaw was born to a pretty typical OakClan family; her parents Chervilfur, a sleek dark tabby with foresty eyes, and Foxeyes, a handsome jet black tom with brown legs and orange eyes, were life-long rivals and an acting whirlwind of relationship. Chervilfur was fiery and headstrong, and always appeared to be chewing off the ear of the ever cool and snarky Foxeyes as he would goad her into pointless tirades for his amusement. Their dynamic always confounded their peers, but none questioned it as though they fought relentlessly, the pair of warriors trusted each other with their lives.

As StarClan would have fated, such a loud couple could only have kits just as rowdy. Sappaw was the runt in a large litter of four, her three brothers each being bigger than the next and most assuredly bigger than herself. For much of her youth, Sappaw found herself hiding in odd spots around camp to avoid the shouting matches of her kinmates and developed a love for studying the world around her that others overlooked. She wanted to understand how it worked. All of it. Maybe then she would learn how to win in a place so much bigger than herself.

Now finally of age to start her training, Sappaw has put her all into her studies beyond the bramble walls of camp. Some of her denmates see her as a stick in the mud sometimes and joke that she belongs in NightClan for that reason, but all the goading only works to fuel Sappaw’s drive to come out the better student and warrior.
