One-line Description: Gray tabby she-cat with piercing golden eyes.

Descriptive Appearance: Garpaw is still very young, so she remains in her awkwardly proportioned phase. She's a bit snaggle toothed, and is often teasingly called a bobblehead by a few of the other meaner apprentices because of her unfortunately lopsided appearance. Her paws are quite large at the ends of her pointy, twig-like legs, and her tail is still short. The apprentice’s eyes are big and bulbous on her developing head, giving her the goofy, bug-eyed appearance of perhaps a fish. The young cat’s coat is mid-length and soft, the color of asphalt or a stormy sky.

Brief Personality: obnoxious | anxious | extroverted | moral

Descriptive Personality: Garpaw, like any teenager, is an expert at targeting insecurities. She likes to poke fun at her elders exactly where it hurts. Somehow, the little twerp can figure out exactly the thing that’s bothering her clanmates. Then, she’ll bring it up relentlessly. However, being afraid of authority, if she’s told to stop, she will do so. Then, she’ll probably apologize profusely. The idea of being punished is mortifying to Garpaw.

In fact, even the thought is so detrimental to the young apprentice that she spends long hours studying the warrior code. Like her forefathers, the young girl worships the code first and foremost. She believes in law and order, deep down, even if she likes to cause trouble on the surface. Garpaw has a very basic understanding of "good" and "evil," but where she is concerned, any outsider, cat or otherwise, who poses a threat to any of her clanmates, is evil. She thinks first with her claws and second with her mind, which ties her up in near constant squabbles with others. It would not be a stretch to call Garpaw a problem child.

Garpaw is desperately afraid of not fitting in. Because of her awkward appearance, she has a lot of her own insecurities. These insecurities partially manifest themselves in the form of this apprentice's random bursts of aggression. When she was growing up, other kits would sometimes tease her, which she took to heart. Garpaw is a very active extrovert now, compensating for her internal distress with nonstop talking. Although she is very good at making friends, the young apprentice fears what the others think about her. She fears that she’ll never find a mate or become a good warrior, even though those things are moons in the future.

This apprentice is known by clanmates as a bit of a jokester. She likes to pull pranks, like leaving worms in queens’ beds and making animal sounds while hidden. Garpaw can tell a great joke, and her clanmates love her ability to lighten the mood.

⌘︎ HISTORY & RELATIONSHIPS ⌘︎

Since she was a kit, the young she-cat has been subject to bullying and harassment because of her protruding eyes and general awkward, patchwork-esque appearance. It took her a long time for her full coat to come in -- longer than most others. She could not figure out how to sheath her claws for quite some time either. Elders and queens reassure her that she is just a "late bloomer," but she swears that it's permanent, and detrimental, and without any possible solution. Her constant melodrama is sure to dull down with age, but for the time being, Garpaw is a ticking timebomb of angst and moodiness. She compensates for this insecurity with sass and a studious understanding of the warrior code, which she already knows by heart (and will happily correct others on).
