One line Description: Soft-furred white she-cat with brown & lilac patches.

Full Appearance:

If a cat could resemble a southern belle, she would be Briarpatch. She has gently rounded cheeks and a nicely squared muzzle, giving her a very classical feline look. Her body is on the lighter side but not overly dainty, with neck and legs to match. Her legs taper off into a delicate paws.

She has a coat of soft, slightly feathery fur that wisps away from her cheeks and haunches, and turns her tail into a pretty plume. Her pelt is mostly a warm white, but her head, back, and tail are dappled with patches of dark brown and tabby-striped lilac. Her nose is a dusty rose color, with pawpads to match. She has green eyes, not especially light or dark.

Full Personality:

Briarpatch is a cat concerned with the propriety of living socially. She knows that the one true secret of power is influence; though she harbors no desire for the crown, so to speak, she certainly wants to harbor good standing for herself and her future lineage. And a lineage is, indeed, what she ultimately wants. She remains ever vigilant for a suitable suitor- not too clever nor strong-willed, perfectly content to play second fiddle and produce handsome offspring to carry on the dynasty.

This is a cat with her eye on the future, always careful in her decisions and never willing to jeopardize the ultimate plan for the sake of the now. She is ever listening in on the gossip of the forest, mountain, and bayou; she even listens in on any scrap of information from the town and outskirts. One never knows how lucrative the nest is before counting the eggs, after all.

She is firm and commanding with all around her, only rarely speaking in a soft, manipulative, sugary tone to a certain few she thinks won't catch her in an act. Her strong presence and stern lead make her a skilled and highly efficient teacher- but may be offputting to some, and she has no patience for disobedient nor overly shy cats.

Despite her confident grace and calculated manners, Briarpatch is full of bitter jealousy towards others. Anyone with a leg up on her in any way is the grounds for a seed of resentment. Those with kits of their own, the leader and deputy, even those she sees as equally beautiful (or... somehow more!?) than herself- they are all subject to her silent hatred. Not that she'd ever let it slip unless she knew they'd never tell anyone, of course. Those with confidence problems beware.

Speaking of looks, she is incredibly confident in her own- but only because she is so exacting. She takes incredible care to carry herself under just as high a standard as her plans. She adores praise and favor from others, but reacts with quiet fury to any slight. She has a tendency to ignore how others may feel, but has learned how to pretend to be invested. Despite her lack of higher rank, she often acts as though she's owed something; perhaps that's why she's so envious?

Full History:

Briarpatch was born to two parents who were quite ordinary in many ways, but if she had to pick a standout trait, it would be their distance. Her parents never took notice of her unless she did something truly impressive- yet, they always seemed to favor her kinder, cuter sibling. Even when Briar single-handedly found the trail that lead them away from the crumbling log hollow they had sheltered through a storm in and into a new home. Resentment burned in her heart, before it cooled into cold steel.

Though her parents decided to essentially retire for a honeymoon in the twoleg town nearby, Briar and her sibling decided to stay in the fresh, young clan led by a mysterious cat. When the cat vanished equally mysteriously, Briarpatch saw her chance; she vowed that the coming era in the lives of NightClan cats would be her chance to secure a lasting niche for her bloodline- and if possible, keep her sibling from competing with her at all costs.

She seemed to have something going with the former deputy, Condorjaw, but has said little since his passing. It seemed they had been friends, if nothing more.
