☽APPEARANCE☾

one line description: black tom with a darker stripe along his spine and amber eyes.

pelt: crowdance's pelt is a cool black in colour, his only noticeable marking being a much darker stripe leading from his forehead, down his spine, and covering his entire tail, and breaking into three thick stripes on either side of his neck and shoulders. this same darker colour is seen again just above his nose, covering his ears, under his chin, around his eyes, and on his paws. he does have other tabby stripes, although these are so close to the base colour of his pelt that they are barely noticeable, sparsely covering his sides and legs. length-wise, his fur is short-medium, much like most nightclan cats, and has a rough, spiky texture.

build: crowdance has a rather bulky, muscular build, with very little fat on his body. his limbs are quite short, making him slightly shorter than most, although thanks to his bulk, he appears to be an average sized warrior. he has large paws and small-ish ears, and his tail is very long and thick. he stands up straight the majority of the time and holds himself with pride.

other: crowdance's eyes are a bright yellow in colour, and despite being rather large, tend to be slanted the majority of the time, either with playful flirtatiousness or sleepiness from a long day's work. his nose and paw pads are all a pitch black in colour and his pelt is littered with a few dark scars, most notably on the left side of his face beneath his eye and on his left thigh. his left ear is lightly torn.

summary: crowdance is an average size, muscular tom with short limbs and short black fur that tufts slightly at his tail and joints. he has a darker stripe from the middle of his forehead, leading down his spine and covering his tail, this then breaks into a few tabby stripes over his neck and shoulders. there is another small dark patch above his nose. the rest of his body is littered in very faint tabby stripes that are unnoticable from far away. his eyes are bright amber and often squinted, and a few scars litter his body from past spars and battles.

☽PERSONALITY☾

brief personality: confident, playful, flirtatious, snarky, stubborn, loyal to his clan, 'workaholic'.

descriptive personality: to anyone from outside his clan, crowdance appears to be a stereotypical nightclanner- he loves playing tricks and scaring youngsters and isn't afraid to argue against an opposing opinion. he's loud and confident and can come off as rude at times, especially when joking about others. he can often be seen at gatherings trying to convince the younger members of his clan to mess with or insult dawnclanners and oakclanners. but when at home, he's slightly more bearable.

when he's not out hunting or patrolling borders, crowdance can often be found wondering camp, looking for someone to chat with or a pretty tom/she-cat to flirt with. he's usually up for a debate or spar but just a warning, crowdance once back down from a fight if needed and is often quite arrogant about his ability. however, this doesn't mean that he's rude or mean all the time, infact he's quite a friendly guy, always willing to look out for his clan and especially the kits and apprentices, who he'll often refer to as "young warriors" to help them feel confident.
another notable feature about crowdance is his love for mischief, once again when it comes to the kits and apprentices in nightclan. he can often be found playing pranks with (or sometimes on) them and will often sneak kits out of camp behind the queens' backs to show them around or tell them horror stories about the ghost cats in the abandoned boat.

however, crowdance's life isn't all fun and games and confidence; as he is very much afraid that he doesn't do enough for his clan most of the time. he has a tendency to overwork himself, volunteering to take on any hunt, patrol, or mentorship he can. he is terrified of dying without feeling like he has truly made an impact on his clan and would much rather die bravely in battle than sheltered or cared for in an elders' den. because of this, he often fails to listen to orders in times of high adrenaline which has gotten him in trouble in the past. crowdance also lacks an understanding of the important of family- while he understands that he shares traits with those related to him, he has no concept of how love from a family member is any different than the care of a close clanmate. because of this, he has weak relationships with his children as they are upset by the fact that he doesn't seem to care about them. yet, this also upsets him as he often feels lonely, seeking out comfort in flings and short-lasting mates before leaving when he begins to get attached.

☽HISTORY☾

kithood: born into nightclan, crowkit lived a very average kithood alongside his littermate, duskkit, other than the fact that he would often get into trouble for sneaking out and trying to join the apprentices and mentors in their training. he would often spar and roughhouse with the other kits in the nursery, something that he still does now with his denmates as a warrior.

apprenticehood: like most cats, crowkit was apprenticed and named crowpaw at six moons old, given sandtongue as a mentor. apprenticehood went swimmingly for crowpaw and he found most of his training quite easy, getting on with his mentor rather well, although he was never the best at hunting near the swamp and fell in quite a few times trying to catch frogs in his early days. however, he did manage to get into quite a bit of trouble one time when he dared one of his denmates to sleep in the abandoned boat for a few nights and they actually did it- an unfair punishment in his opinion.

warriorhood: crowdance was finally given his warrior name with the prefix 'dance' for his energy and playfulness, and has resided in the warriors' den ever since. he was given his first apprentice, redpaw, at a rather young age and was ecstatic to teach him all he knew and help raise a new generation of great warriors for nightclan. he also became much closer with his own former mentor, sandtongue, and when she consulted him about her desire to have kits but fear of them being mistaken for crossclan, he agreed to father her litter, resulting in his first kit, duckkit, being born. for a while, he did speak often of his offspring and spent time with them which eventually lead him to spending time and uplifting all of the younger cats in the clan, making sure the entire clan knew that he was his, although as crowdance began to flirt with other warriors, he eventually lost interest and forgot about duckkit. he also ended up having a litter with browntooth (whether or not this was on purpose is up for debate), resulting in lilykit, his daughter whom, similar to duckkit, he eventually forgot about. once duckkit was apprenticed and named duckpaw, this sparked a lot of arguments between the two, thus ending any positivity that remained between the two- as for lilypaw, he is unaware of her dislike for him.


at around fifteen moons of age, crowdance had to fight his first real battle between his homeclan, nightclan, and oakclan. going into it, he was rather confident, afterall, he viewed oakclan as nothing more than glorified kittypets who refused to admit that that's what they were, and although it was quite frightening, crowdance had never felt more proud of himself than he did after helping to defend his clan. it was this that led to his desire to do whatever he could possible to give his clan a good future.


recently, crowdance was given yet another apprentice, cricketpaw, whom he is happy to mentor and has a good relationship, despite being a little shocked about the tom's apparent lack of intelligence.
