The Warrior code has been a fundamental in teaching for moons and moons. However, when the clans have been destroyed twice why would the cats listen to what their ancestors say? Why Didn't their ancestors save them? Due to these events, cats have developed their own views and often Mentors will pass these views to their apprentices, and parents to their kits. There are multiple 'religious' views that have found their way into their clans.

**A cats view can always change depending on interactions. You are not set in stone picking one**

Traditional:--Cats with a traditional view still follow the warrior code to a T. They are against forbidden loves, they follow borders, they name their kits according to the naming law. Medicine cats finding love is still strictly forbidden and a leaders word is law. They still wish to share tongues and watch new warriors sit vigil. They firmly believe Starclan is out there somewhere and will never turn their back on them. Everything happens for a reason and they know if they keep their faith strong Starclan will return one day...

Traditional cats still believe that certain prefixes like clan names, Star, moon, etc are forbidden and stick to traditionally naming their kits. Leaders also will give all cats regardless of their beliefs traditional names.

Traditional Dark Forest:-- Cats training in the dark forest use to be a secretive thing. Not all cats who train in the Dark Forest are evil, just as not all the cats who train in the Dark Forest are good so to speak. Perhaps they believe in both entities but those training in the Dark Forest are much more open about it. They believe that perhaps the Dark Forest will be the true ruling entity. After all even though they weren't necessarily present, the Dark Forest never once caused the clan cats pain and suffering.

Traditional Dark Forest cats tend to use darker prefixes but all the same believe that some names are sacred and cannot be used.

Semi Traditional:--Cats consider themselves semi traditional when they don't necessarily believe in EVERYTHING the traditional cats do, but also don't fit in with the Neo gang. Bits and pieces of the code still live in their hearts but they tend to question every little thing. They don't necessarily believe in either Starclan or the Dark Forest but don't disbelieve either. There is 'SOMETHING' out there. Semi traditional cats may break some code rules and adhere to other. It truly just depends.

Semi-Traditional cats that are more on the traditional line may use more traditional sounding names. They may also not use suffixes at all for instance instead of Featherkit they may just name their kit 'feather'. Semi traditional cats may or may not use a warrior suffix as well. Semi-traditional cats typically frown upon incredibly unique names however. They still have some reasoning. They also believe certain prefixes are sacred.


Neo Traditional:--Neo Traditional cats have thrown the warrior code away. This does not make them Evil. These cats believe in their own personal rules set primarily by their upbringings. They may or may not have clan names or if given one may not respond when called by it. Neo traditional have their own virtues but could probably care less about borders, and the warrior code. Neo traditional tend to get into fights with those who are traditional. Neo's or New Era as they tend to call themselves are the new generation of founders who were not around to experience the events. They believe in their own higher powers 'Mother' and 'Father'. Neo medicine cats and Neo leaders most likely won't attend the same 'gatherings' as semis and traditionalists.

Neo Traditionalists have no rules. They don't find the clan names sacred, they don't find Star sacred, they don't find moon sacred either. Depending on their own personal beliefs they may or may not take on a warrior name at all and if given one probably won't respond to it. Neo's are more free spirited.
