brief: lanky dark gray tabby with sage green eyes

descriptive: though minkfeather could be the sight for sore eyes his mother was, his build seems too awkward even as his pelt holds whorls of dizzyingly beautiful markings. if one were to look at him alone, perhaps one would think he is a tall apprentice that hasn't fully grown into his paws yet, but this illusion is revealed when perhaps any relativity is taken into account. his figure seems to have gotten ahead of itself - though he would never admit to his insecurities, he had stopped growing soon into apprenticeship and fallen quickly behind his clanmates in size. his height (or lack thereof) is not embarrassingly noticeable, but it is rather a source of sweet banter amongst his oversized peers. in reality, he is much closer to the build of the cats of other clans. he sticks out only when alongside many of his clanmates, with their broad shoulders and massive everythings. beyond his lankiness that never truly amounted to much, a coat of varying tints clings loosely to his silhouette. from his shoulders down to his tail, swirls of black and gray classic tabby markings dance along each other in uncertain pirouettes. the only stop to the pattern is uneven white splotches on all four of his paws and a tornado-shaped patch under his chin. his face, however, seems to rest in a mildly bewildered expression, with his eyes being naturally wide and his muzzle somewhat flat. minkfeather's face is the only part of his body where a hint of saturation appears; the slightest warm tone of a light brown can be seen in the right lighting. considering how little vibrancy there is to his appearance, one might think the green of his eyes would pop. instead, they feel just as dull as the black tick marks on his cheeks. it is not to say his eyes are not pretty! the soft sage green feels so right on him, even if it blends into the unsaturated idle space around it. his looks are overwhelming in the way a rainstorm is - to the right eyes, he is, for lack of a humbler word, a blessing.

brief: witty, intuitive, quiet, nervous

descriptive: minkfeather exhibits himself in the way that, from a single glance at him, one would assume he acts. there is a comfortable air around him - he has both the sweet disposition and the wide eyed gaze that one would remember all too well. though he is a tom of few words, he is not as secretive as many think. sure, he is reserved towards strangers - but who isn't? he knows the value of saying the right thing at the right time, and makes for a great listener. AND he would never break a promise. many simply do not take the time to get to know him. had his clanmates given him a fighting chance at a social life when first meeting him, he could've become a rather popular clan member. minkfeather is the focused middle ground, which may come from holding his tongue before asking questions in fear of distractions or trailing off. not that he is anything less than a determined and attentive warrior, of course, because he would step on a rattlesnake before allowing his responsibilities to be forgotten. this does not, unfortunately, alleviate any sense of unease from his life - he is a worrywart through and through. he can be so freaked out at one moment over the tiniest of issues, only to completely flip into a selfless-to-the-point-it's-not-actually-healthy persona that cares only of other cat's problems and not of his own whatsoever, which is a double-edged sword of sorts. minkfeather is flighty when uncomfortable, though not inherently disloyal, and a rather passive tom who prefers not to shoulder many unnecessary burdens. when he takes a liking to someone, however, he can become codependent and clingy to an obsessive point. little exterior issues would result from this, though, due to how passive his nature is. he would rather keep the contrarian ideas to himself and blend in with his similarities. he tries his best to go with the flow and participate in impulsivities when the opportunity arises, but he just cannot stray from the rule-following mindset that keeps him safe.

descriptive history: born to a mother too young and too fragile, minkfeather was a miracle kit alongside one of his brothers. a third kitten was stillborn, but his mother was glad to have any surviving children. as a kit, he was shoved around by his bolder brother, performing many trivial tasks and often being the receiving end of teasing and insults disguised as jokes. minkfeather was nothing like his brother - even though they were from the same litter, they appeared moons apart from the sheer size and confidence differences. it was in early kithood where he developed his submissive attitude, but since gravitating away from his brother's circle of friends, he has grown tremendously and learned more about himself. apprenticeship was hard, to say the least. his mentor was not the issue, but rather his brother's constant pestering of his pursuits. minkfeather was always the victim. for a short yet excruciatingly long time in his apprenticeship, weaseltuft had convinced him that he was the reason their father had never come forward and that their father genuinely resented minkfeather. without a father, minkfeather grew up soaking in everything about his mother. he was a natural hands-on learner, but he could never figure out why he received odd looks when he listened in to his mother's gossip circle as opposed to chasing his own tail like the other younger male warriors. he only longed to fit in, and wherever he found the most comfort, he resided. it has always been hard for him to make friends, but his past helped him learn to find the love within himself. he knows what he wants - even if he never quite learned how to achieve it.
