Descriptive Appearance:

Like most DawnClan cats, Blacknose is built for the mountains. Short and stocky with big paws and wide shoulders, she's made even bigger by her thick mane of fur. Named for her predominantly black pelt, she is marked only with white on her belly, face and toes. She is always meticulously cleaned, her coat perfectly smooth, probably to make up for it's tendency to get tatted with brambles and mud. Although she is strong and well built, Blacknose is likely shoulder height on most other cats, sitting close to the ground on powerful legs. A keen tracker, her face is all long, white whiskers, big ears, and intense yellow eyes, filled with tiny green flecks you can only see if you get too close. 

Stubborn, Insecure, Competitive, Hard Working

Descriptive personality:
Dedicated, honourable and hard working, Blacknose is a great warrior, which she hopes distracts from her multitude of personal flaws. Always driven to be the best, she is unrelenting in her dedication to her warriors duties, and her competitive nature and desire to prove herself can make her difficult to be around. Blacknose will make anything into a competition, and will never give you a head start. Although she fights fair - she is an honourable warrior, after all - she has no qualms about taking any legitimate advantage she can get. Blacknose won't take no for an answer, and will not accept a loss - she will force endless rounds until she has won, and will push herself to the edge to perfect in the most minor of tasks. Despite her deep seeded insecurities, Blacknose will accept no criticism and will stubbornly stick in her ways regardless of whatever anybody else says. She can become defensive when criticised, in the way that only those wracked with self loathing can. 

Blacknose loves kits and apprentices, and has a kind of vicious, protective maternal instinct for anybody younger than she is. But, she has high expectations and can be pushy and overbearing, especially when things could reflect badly on her. Her protective streak goes as far as making sure cats are set up to succeed, fed and sheltered, but her unwilling to express emotional vulnerable makes her a cold friend and an even colder mentor. 

In her personal life, Blacknose is emotionally aloof and untrusting, often unwilling to commit to relationships or other cats. Although she is generally friendly and extroverted, interested in knowing her clan mates, and is a shameless, almost uncontrollable flirt, her ability to maintain emotional closeness is near non existence. Despite her dedication to her duties, personally she can be flighty and impulsive, lacking forethought and loyalty.

Descriptive History:

Blacknose comes from a fairly typical DawnClan family. Born in the only litter of two warriors, she grew up as a rambuncious and competitive kit, always seeking to prove herself and eager to win, particularly against her one littermate, a brother. Spending most of her time out of the nursery and causing trouble without parental supervision, she quickly learnt to master her indepedence, but often felt invalidated by a distinct lack of attention. An eager learner, she couldn't wait to be apprenticed alongside her brother when she reached 6 moons old.

Shortly after her apprentice ceremony, her mother died.

It was easy for Blackpaw to disappear into her training, obsessively practicing her moves until they were picture perfect, but the death of her mother was a heavy emotional toll for a young cat to hold. As they grew, she and her brother moved apart. Her father's grief made him aloof and disconnected. When he began to show interest in other cats, Blackpaw was unexpectedly furious, far more than she thought she would be, and her brother's indifference did nothing to soothe her. 
Blackpaw fell out with her brother and father shortly before her warrior ceremony. Given the suffix -nose for her well honed tracking abilities - and, likely, her black nose - she continued to disappear herself into her duties. When her father had a second litter with another DawnClan cat, she didn't congratulate him, although she didn't have the heart to ignore the kits like she had been doing with her brother. 
Now well into her warrior life, Blacknose is settled but eager to move on to the next stage of her life - an apprentice, possibly, and maybe even kits of her own?
