long appearance: honeybriar is a slim abyssinian she-cat. as an abyssinian, she has large ears and eyes. her short-lengthed fur is dark gray with orange-red point. she has a white muzzle with long, white whiskers. she has bright gold eyes that glimmer in the dark. she is slim, not very muscular, and quite tall for a nightclan cat. she has no sense of smell, anosmia, due to a previous illness. this she-cat's voice is medium-toned and warm like afternoon sun on a rock. she has a pouched belly from her first litter.

short personality: motherly, determined, assertive, overbearing

long personality: she is a loyal queen who protects her family and clan. however, if she had to choose, she would pick her family before anything. she is a loving mother that is sometimes too intrusive and clingy when it comes to her children. when it comes to romance, she isn't picky as long as they aren't rude and have similar family values. she loves to mentor apprentices (even if they aren't her own) and is always willing to give helpful tips and advice. she is knowledgeable and her size benefits her strength in battle, but her movements aren't as quick. she is saddened that she cannot smell and doesn't like to talk about it very often. she is determined to overcome her disability and prove anyone who doubts her wrong. she is very assertive about her beliefs. clearly shown during her warrior ceremony, she is not afraid to address a crowd. underneath this confidence is a remorseful she-cat. she dearly wishes to smell the milk-scent of the nursery, the flora and fauna of nightclan, even the stinky swamp depths. she never got to experience them. because of that, she's fragile and somewhat needy under extreme pressure. it is a side of her she shows very rarely. she can sometimes be a bit overbearing on her kits. she means well for them and wants them to thrive, but she comes off as a helicopter mom.

history: her parents, then cherry and spider, were former rogues. cherry was expecting her first litter after several miscarriages. they were homeless, it was nearly leaf-bare, and they were desperate for protection, so they joined nightclan. they became cherryleap and spiderdash, named for their long limbs. cherryleap, after so many disappointments, finally gave birth to her first and only kit, honeykit. honeykit was one of the first kits born into nightclan, the only clan she's ever known. shortly after she was born, she became very ill. she recovered, but she lost her sense of smell. it didn't become imminent until she was made an apprentice. she told her parents she couldn't smell anything. cherryleap and spiderdash were shocked by this news. they were worried they that honeypaw would be ridiculed or exiled, so they lied and told her she would get her smell back eventually. she was assigned Blackfire for a mentor. he recognized fairly quickly that she couldn't smell. without saying a word, he adjusted his lesson plans to accommodate to her needs. moons pass, and she silently wondered where her sense of smell was. the night before her warrior ceremony, she went to spottedmoth for counsel. spottedmoth confirmed her condition, anosmia, from when she was ill as a kit, and comforted her. she advised honeypaw to follow her heart and would defend her decision. at her ceremony, honeypaw told the clan that she was unable to smell. she pleaded to nightstar to allow her to become a warrior. she wanted to make her parents proud, despite her disability. nightstar allowed it, but assigned her to duties that weren't solely smell-related. she worked hard. she defied the odds of her clan-mates and did surprisingly well as a warrior. she became closer with Blackfire, her former mentor. he knew about her condition and had supported her all along, and she appreciated that a lot. soon, they became mates and had a small litter of two kits. while in the nursery, she realized her true calling- taking care of young ones. she remained in the nursery after her kits moved out and became a permanent queen. Blackfire disagreed with this completely. he believed in her as a warrior, he taught her after all, and didn't want to see her skills go to waste. after many arguments, the two split up.
